REVIEW: GIVENCHY LE ROUGE LIPSTICKS

My most expensive lipsticks to date are my Givenchy Le Rouge Lipsticks.

I have a rosy red colored one and a bright pink one.

Givenchy Le Rouge Intense Color Sensuously Matte Lipstick in 311 Rose Precieux is a deep rose color. It is very creamy and pigmented and not drying on my lips. Givenchy says it’s matte but it does not look like most matte lipsticks that I’ve tried.  I really love how this shade is almost red but not. It’s bold but very wearable at the same time.  Great for date night!

Rose Precieux (sorry for the blurred lip swatch)

I captured this shade on my lips in two different lightings.

The other color that I have is 301 Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza. It’s bright pink and appears almost coral on my yellow skin. It is very creamy and pigmented however since this is not a matte, it has quite a sheen to it.

They don’t last very long on your lips if you eat and drink. However, without eating, it lasted 4-5 hours on mine. Not bad in my opinion.  They’re quite expensive but I think you get what you pay for since they’re good quality lipsticks with excellent formula and pigmentation. No wonder Christine of Temptalia.com is obsessed with them!

Got them both from Carefreeshoper at 2,450 pesos each. Retails at 36 USD in Sephora.

I’ll probably stick to MAC for now, and then try these out once it’s within my budget <3 ^^
