Review: Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lip Colors

The quest for the best pigmented lip gloss is not yet over. Though this product is not that new, I finally caved in and bought a few shades from BonMarche.

I currently have 3 shades: Orange Tempo, Rouge Allegro and Fuchsia Orchestra.

Shades

Orange Tempo looks like tomato red. It’s an  orange-red shade. It is a very wearable orange because it’s not as bright and but appears more of a deep orange on the lips.

Rouge Allegro is a warm reddish pink shade. This is a good shade for those who are afraid to wear a red lip. You know it’s there but it’s not as eye-catching. Compared to the other 2 shades, this is the a little bit sheer. You really have to build it up to get an full on color. This feels less thick and slightly watery too which can be a good thing for those who do not want a very tacky gloss.

Fuchsia Orchestra is a blue-based bright pink. Out of the three, this is my favorite. Well, I am actually quite biased since I really love how a blue-based pink lipcolor looks on my skin. It gives your face that pop of color when you don’t want to put on too much makeup.

Texture/Longevity

I like how it sits on my lips. This is similar to Dior Fluidstick and Maybelline Elixirs (which I have both reviewed already, see here and here.) except this is  a little bit more tacky. This means it stays longer on your lips though.  Fuschia Orchestra lasts on my lips for 5 hours without fading – that’s without eating but includes drinking from a cup.  Although it does not fully dry and suck out moisture off your lips, for some reason, it stays on for quite a while and we all like a product like this, don’t we? The shine will be gone after 2-3 hours but it stains your lips like a boss.

I like this better than Maybelline Elixirs because this is a little bit more pigmented but I like the Dior ones more because it’s more lightweight. But this is a good drugstore alternative. Overall, this is a good product to try especially for those who wants to skip a step in their makeup routine. You don’t have to put on a lipstick then a lipgloss because with these you get great pigmentation and shine in one product.

  1. Hi Meg! I can’t believe I only visited your blog now! 😐 I love the products you feature here! 🙂 Will have to do some backreading – I thoroughly enjoy your posts.

I didn’t know about these L’Oreal lip glosses, ah! I only heard about Revlon’s. Woops. Love the pigmentation, though. I tried their Shine Caresse before but it was too fussy so I didn’t like it 🙁 Reminded me too much of the YSL Glossy Stains which I didnt like either.

The pink one suits you BEST! Very brightening! 🙂

    1. Hello Shari! 😀

I love the pink one the most as well. 🙂 Haven’t tried YSL glossy stains yet so I can’t compare.
