Holiday rush and Christmas wishlists

It’s finally December, yey! I see my schedule already filled with Christmas parties and dinners. I am currently finalizing a Christmas get together with my college barkada. We only meet once a year, I know it sucks, but what can we do, we’re all busy people. I also just prepped our family’s kris kringle 2 days ago and posted the wishlist board near the dining table. It’s not really a board but  an old page of a calendar and I used the clean side to create the wishlist post. All of this is aside from the fact that roads are always jam-packed because of the holiday rush. I seriously hate going out when I know that I’ll be stuck in traffic. But what can I do, I need to do my Christmas shopping. My mom and I had a good headstart last week when we went to Regalong Pambahay warehouse along Pioneer last Saturday. I was in the same compound Wednesday that week because of the Luxasia sale, when I saw that the ad for Regalong Pambahay group of brands. EGG had bags that were 100 pesos only. Ding ding ding~! It got me interested so I asked my mom if she wanted to come with me.

(It is very near Robinsons Pioneer. You can take a tricycle near the mall and it’s just across PNB and National Bookstore.  From Robinsons, the warehouse is on your right.)

There were a lot of home decor and my mom got a good deal because all items from Regalong Pambahay were on 20% off. She bought a lot of stuff to give to her bosses. There were a lot of gift items like cute notebooks, wrapping books, bracelets, necklaces and other practical items like cellphone cases, bag tags – most of them priced at 100 pesos and below. Happy place indeed for someone who wants to give gifts but on a tight budget like me! The place has air-conditioning so it’s quite enjoyable to walk around the place and shop. I won’t be posting the items that I bought because some team mates might be reading this and some of the things I bought are for them. Hah.

But then again, there are still a handful of items that I haven’t bought yet. Like what I’ll give to my secret santa in our office, what I’ll get my monito for our family kris kringle or what I’ll give to my college barkada. As mentioned in my previous post, I really enjoyed the convenience of online shopping. Even though I love a good bargain, I hate going to malls during weekend sales. I don’t like going through crowds of people. Weird thing to say since I previously work in retail. Weekend sales were my life before – more people means the better chances for us to hit our sales target.  But things change, that’s why I am really into online shopping at the moment. You get to avoid the long lines everywhere and you don’t get stressed and get stuck in traffic. So I am currently on the hunt for online shops. There’s BeautyMNL for anything beauty related, Lazada for practically anything  and everything under the sun and Zalora Philippines for anything fashion. There are a few fashion items on my monitos’ wishlist  so I checked out Zalora.  The site has a lot of gift items and I actually love the variety that they offer. Zalora PH has made it easier for me to think of Christmas gift ideas. They have clothing,  accessories, bags and shoes. I checked out some flats they’re just less than 300 pesos. Bargain! They also have cute purses that ranges from 130 – 300 pesos.  The good thing about the site is that you can pay cash upon delivery – that is if you do not have credit card. They also offer free shipping for orders above 995 pesos.

I am also on the hunt for something that I can put on my own wishlist. I am veering away from asking for anything beauty-related. I have enough makeup to last me a lifetime (or even beyond). I am currently looking for a pair of white/cream sneakers. Like the Advan ones I used to wear back in elementary during P.E. I used to love colorful sneakers and owned a few pairs but now that I am a bit older, I think I am starting to stick to more neutral colors. (Or maybe it’s just the influence of Anna and Lily) I browse through Zalora’s sneakers section and saw some cute pairs. I couldn’t find a plain white but this light grey pair or creme canvas pair will do. They’re so cute and I know I could easily pair them with shorts or a casual dress. I am also eyeing this Nike Free 5.0 trainers but I want it in black.
