I haven’t posted an FOTD in a while but I have something exciting in store for you in this post. We had our office Christmas party last Monday and the theme was red carpet glam. We never had a party that’s this formal before so I was excited to do my makeup. I didn’t want to have my hair fixed so I searched for youtube tutorial and decided to do Estee’s hair tutorial. It’s quite easy to do, just make sure to prep your hair if you have long and thick hair like mine. All you need is a headband, bobby pins, texturizing spray and hair spray to hold everything in place. Watch her tutorial, it’s so easy peasy!

Since I didn’t have a curing iron, I curled my hair by twisting several parts of my hair the night before and slept on it. It looks hella funny but it really helped give my hair some texture and made it easier for me to work on it the next day.
I primed my face using Estee Lauder Matte Primer, concentrating mostly on my T-zone. I used combination of Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shade 02 and Nars Sheer Glow in Fiji. For concealer, I used Clinique Airbrush Concealer (Neutral Fair) under my eyes and Nars Creamy concealer (Custard) for blemishes and spots. I then set my face with Shiseido Perfect Smoothing Powder Foundation and a little bit of Laura Merceir Invisible Loose Powder on my T-zone.
For my brows, I used Majolica Majorca Brow Customize in BR660 and Benefit’s Gimme Brow to set it. For the eyes, I primed my lids using Nars Pro Prime Eye primer. I then put MAC paintpot Utterly Becoming all over the lid. I used a shimmery peach-gold combination (from Espoir) to define my crease. And then on the inner part of the lid, I put #7 and 8 of the Itsjudytime palette. To define my outer V, I used a combination of #5 and 6 to really smoke it out. I then lined my upper lashline with a brown gel liner from MAC. For my vavavoom lashes, I curled my lashes using Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler and then applied 1 coat of Fairydrops Platinum Waterproof Mascara. I let my mascara dry and then put on #213 falsies from Red Cherry. It took me quite a while to put on the false lashes but it was worth it.
I used a little bit of Gosh blush in Flower Power and Tom Ford’s Wicked on my cheeks.
Hope this made up for the longest time that I didn’t post an FOTD! 😛 Have you tried some of the brands I used here? Which one is your favorite?
