Hello everyone. I know, I know. I have not posted for 6 months. I was lazy and all because all I want to do during my idle time is sleep and lay in bed. Work has been stressing me out. It hasn’t improved but I am coping. Oh well.
Anyway, let’s get down to business. I am here with a new post about Happy Skin. It’s been a while since I last talked about their products on my blog. If you’re a Happy Skin fan, by now, you should know that they released a matte version of their moisturizing lippie. The shades that I have here are from their tie up with Plains and Prints. Plains and Prints also release a clothing line with this collection.
It’s housed in a octagon-shaped box that opens like a closet – it is where the lippies are stored. I like it, it’s cute and the colors are refreshing – the colors scream SUMMER. The lippies itself are in their usual packaging – the big jumbo crayon type.
I like the texture of this matte lippie. It’s slightly powdery and a little bit more moisturizing but definitely more comfortable than their first release with Zalora (Hot Stuff and Too Cool). I gave away those because I wasn’t fan of the shades and formula. It’s slightly drying after 6-7 hours but no patchiness whatsoever. It’s one of the comfortable matte lipsticks I’ve tried.
Girl Boss – Light, blue-based pink. This is similar to MAC Mehr, with MAC just slightly darker but it’s a very good alternative. For swatch comparison, see below photo. This is a good every day color.
Scene Stealer – Deep burgundy red. They say this is similar to MAC Diva. I don’t have it so I am not so sure. I have Wet and Wild Cherrybomb though. See swatch comparison below. Well-maintained brows, long lashes and just this shade on your lips and you’re good to go.
Girl Boss + Scene Stealer combined – Muted plum. The shades are awesome individually but knowing that you can rock a different (and beautiful shade, at that) when you combine them gives me the most satisfying feeling ever. It’s just like scoring a buy 2 get 1 promo! The shade when combined gives you a deeper shade of pink that it’s almost plum. It’s similar to their limited holiday matte lippie release, Best Date Ever. If you missed out on that, then you’re lucky. Get this set instead for more bang for your buck.
I believe these are still available in stores together with the other items from this collection. Price is 1099 pesos for the set. I am eyeing the contour stick set next. Have you tried their any of Happy Skin’s matte lippies? Or anything else from this collection? What do you think of them?
